Dr. Sidney and Sheila Stern both grew up in Crown Heights. After Sidney completed his service in the United States Army, the Sterns settled in Flatbush, raising their children and staunchly supporting The Young Israel of Flatbush. Sidney practiced as a dentist and Sheila taught math and science in Yeshiva of Flatbush.

 

Sheila and Sidney’s favorite activity is spending time with their grandchildren, including our own Alter Chaim Tzvi and Baruch Chai Baruchov. They are supportive, loving, and actively involved in their children and grandchildren’s lives. Three out of their four children live with their families in Passaic, while the Sterns alternate between spending time in Passaic, Florida, and Ramat Beit Shemesh.

 

Our honorees epitomize integrity and selflessness to all that know them and we are touched by their involvement with the Cheder.
